We visited the Pershing Road K-Mart this evening. The retailer is in its last days...... scheduled to lock doors for the last time at the close of business on August 7. Some of what we saw tonight:

The new Scovill Sculpture Park opened this weekend and is a beautiful and breathtaking addition to Scovill Park. Here are a few pics;  more will be posted soon......... (most of the sculptures will be on display for approx. 2 years before new ones take their place)

Earlier this week, Caterpillar unveiled their beautiful new sculpture at the corner of Pershing and 22nd. The sculpture is the first of what is hoped to be many along 22nd Street, as the Beautify Decatur Coalition works to improve the "look and feel" of that important corridor.
