For this week's link, we spotlight DECATUR CELEBRATION, the street festival held in downtown Decatur held each year on the first weekend of August.

Started in 1986, Decatur Celebration transforms the streets of downtown Decatur into an arts and entertainment mecca. Organizers of the event bring a talented and diverse group of performers to the event each year, with 2013 being no exception: Foghat, Vertical Horizon, Blind Melon, Building 429, CeCe Peniston, Casey Abrams and Naughty by Nature.
Plus food... one of the best parts of Celebration is the variety of foods that are prepared by the huge number of vendors attending the event.
And, don't forget about the carnival too!
